Labor Day Lakeview Luau

SUNDAY – Labor Day Luau on the Lake, featuring exquisite Hawaiian cuisine crafted by The Coeur d’Alene Resort Culinary Team. This family-friendly event will take place at The Resort’s Lakeview Terrace overlooking beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene!  Not only will this festive luau feature the delicious flavors of the Island culture, Guests will also enjoy hula dancing lessons, Live Fire-Eaters and Fire Performers, a best-dressed costume contest, DJ Epic Vibe, Kids Corner with coloring, bubbles, corn-hole, checkers and crafts, a tropical cocktail bar and fabulous and dancing music for the entire family to enjoy.  The Cocktail Social will begin at 5:00 pm and the Gourmet Dinner Buffet will kick off at 6:00 pm featuring a Smoke-Roasted Suckling Whole Pig! After months of taste-testing, our Hawaiian-inspired menu features a delicious line-up, including Ahi Poke Shots, Hawaiian Slaw, Pineapple Chicken, Hawaiian Beef Sirloin Bavette Steak, Mahi Mahi Shrimp Kabobs, Macadamia Chocolate Brownie Sundaes and more!

New Land, New Lives:  Immigrants Shaped Our Region

THROUGH OCTOBER – The Museum of North Idaho has three new exhibits this season. The two seasonal exhibits are New Land, New Life: Immigrants Shaped Our Region and Keeping History Alive. The first exhibit provides a look into the lives of some of the people in the major immigrant groups that settled here. The second exhibit showcases a sampling of the Museum of North Idaho’s recent artifact donations. These exhibits will run from through October 31st. A new permanent exhibit Explorers and Fur Trade, created by the Friends of Spokane House, looks at trade and explorers prior to white settlement.

Live After 5:  Sol Seed

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY – Live After 5 in McEuen Park, join in for summer concert series and seasonal events held every year in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Tullamore Park in Post Falls.  This week:  Sol Seed!

Farmers’ Market

SATURDAY – Since 1986, the Kootenai County Farmers’ Market has been providing the communities of North Idaho with fresh, locally-grown produce. From May through October, our markets specialize in vegetable, flower, native plants and an ever changing array of local food products–meats, cheeses, bread, honey, and jams–all season long.  So grab a cup of coffee, listen to the live music and peruse the more than 100 producers and artisans who make up our two markets–from cheese to chairs, breads to birdhouses–you’ll find it at the market!

North Idaho’s Got Talent

THURSDAY – North Idaho’s Got Talent Finale at the Kroc Center!  Winner receives $1500 in travel expenses.  In the past, April has planned the winner’s flight, hotel and car rental to audition for America’s Got Talent, the TV Show.  This year, we will be giving $1500 to travel to audition on TV Show of choice: American Idol, America’s Got Talent or the Voice.
