Friday @ The Museum of North Idaho, Downtown Coeur d’Alene – The Museum has three new exhibits this season: “New Land, New Life: Immigrants Shaped Our Region,” provides a look into the lives of some of the people in the major immigrant groups that settled here. The second exhibit showcases a sampling of the Museum of North Idaho’s recent artifact donations. The third is new permanent exhibit “Explores and Fur Trade,” created by the Friends of Spokane House, looks at trade prior to white settlement and explorers.

Saturday @ Coeur d’Alene Eagles, Downtown Coeur d’Alene – Who knew that plastic, medical waste, air mattresses, feed sacks, cans, CDs, electronic junk, coffee filters, wine corks, and junk mail could, through the skill of artists, be transformed into amazing fashions?! Kootenai Environmental Alliance (KEA) is hosting the 11th Annual junk2funk Eco-Fashion show. Artists will demonstrate their creative abilities on the runway by turning junk and recycled materials into fabulously fun designer outfits. This highly successful event mixes fashion, art, and sustainability before an intensely energetic crowd in one unforgettable riotous evening.
