Things to Do around Coeur d’Alene 2-28-2020

Things to Do around Coeur d’Alene 2-28-2020 is a little different this week. We’re going a little outside of the Coeur d’Alene area this week to tell you about some awesome annual events that happen in the Inland Northwest. These events take place in towns as far away as Spokane and Moscow, but they’re worth the drive! And who’s excited about this spring weather? We certainly are!

THE LIONEL HAMPTON JAZZ FESTIVAL
Friday-Saturday @ Moscow, Idaho
For the hundreds of music students who descend on Moscow, Idaho, every year, the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival is an opportunity to hone their skills, meet their peers and learn from some masterful musicians with real-world experience. Even if you’re not one of those students, a visit to the fest is worthwhile to catch one (or more) of the 400+ student performances happening across the University of Idaho campus, or one of the headlining gigs at the Kibbie Dome featuring legit big names in the jazz world. This year, those names are Vertical Voices, performing Friday night with the UI. Call 208-885-6111 for information.

SPOKANE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Starts Friday @ Magic Lantern Theatre, Spokane
The 22nd annual Spokane International Film Festival (SpIFF) is a small, selective offering of world-class films; the very best features, documentaries and shorts made around the world in the past two years that haven’t yet been commercially released for wide distribution. Many events feature guest filmmakers and performers to meet audiences, share their own stories and more.
